Why do we box squat?

1) Increases concentric strength by removing momentum
2) More hamstring and glute activation to develop the posterior chain
3) Box acts as physical cue to ensure lifter goes to desired depth

While we don’t use these all of the time, to produce stronger, more resilient athletes, the box squat is a great tool.

This is a circuit we did the other day - and we can explain why supersets do NOT negatively effect strength in a later post!
