During the Milan Design Week which took place a few months ago and which highlights the latest trends in design, a surprise and unexpected guest decided to compete with designers from all over the world with originality. Indeed, McDonald’s Italy took the opportunity to unveil a new packaging for its customers’ take-out orders… capable of transforming into a folding table.

The annual event, which this year attracted no less than 400,000 visitors, was the perfect opportunity for the fast food chain to present its new packaging. Unable to accommodate all of its customers inside its restaurants due to the large crowds created by the gathering, it then offered them an unusual and well-thought-out alternative in collaboration with the Leo Burnett agency.

McDonald’s thus offered a limited edition “TableBag” to all the first customers who placed an order via the application to allow them to eat wherever they wanted without any problems.

The TableBag is like a rectangular cardboard box inside which is placed the order bag with the different menus. When it is placed on a support, even cramped, simply remove the upper part and slide the walls so that the cardboard extends and creates a two-seater table equipped with notches for glasses.
