Beauty queens have lots to offer— Model.

A model, Raimi Mojisola who recently emerged the winner of a pageant, Miss Intercontinental Africa, held in Egypt, has said many people have misconceptions about beauty queens.

Mojisola, who beat 76 other contenders to clinch the title, told Sunday Scoop, “There are a lot of misconceptions about beauty queens. As a beautiful lady, some people assume that one does not have anything tangible to offer. Some people even assume that one must have done unthinkable things to get the crown, and that is totally wrong.”

Asked how she felt winning the pageant, the model said, “I feel so blessed and fulfilled. There were 72 beautiful girls from all over the world but I was singled out as one of the winners. That is a huge blessing for me.”

On why she decided to be a part of the pageant, Mojisola said, “Before I contested,  I was a professional dancer, model and actress. I competed in the pageant to prove to young Nigerian and African girls that they can be whatever they want to be with hard-work and persistence.”
