Idol-Worship / Consuming of Media, Movies, Music, Sports, Public Figures, etc. Keep People Tuned Out

We, as individuals, take the role of 'consumer' to the extreme: it prevents personal growth and true understanding of the self. As a Gen-Xer, I am providing my view on what I see around me with the influences I grew up with in entertainment, sports, idols, etc., and how I feel about product-creep/agenda-creep/etc. and the methods I use to just rid myself of being involved with them and, instead, find time for finding myself.

The sad part of living in today's world, is I'm noticing a ton more 'zombies' walking within the matrix. Putting energy out there for people to wake-up, but individual choice is individual choice.
