Modric shares joke in training as Croatia prepare for Brazil World Cup Quarter-Final

The Croatia national team trained on Wednesday as they continued their preparation to face World Cup favourites Brazil in Friday's quarter-final.

Zlatko Dalic's team go into the knockout fixture having advanced via penalties against a spirited Japan side in Monday's last-16 fixture.

Goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic saved three of Japan's spot kicks after Croatia came back from a goal down to take the game into extra time with the match finishing 1-1 after ninety minutes.

All of Croatia's knockout matches at a World Cup or European Championship since 1998 have gone to extra time except for the 2018 World Cup final loss to France.

Brazil, meanwhile, blew away South Korea on Monday, going 4-0 up before half time.

The 'Selecao' treated their traveling fans to some sublime goals from Vinicius Jr, Richarlison and Lucas Paqueta, with a fit-again Neymar scoring from the penalty spot, before South Korea's Paik Seung-ho scored a second-half consolation goal from distance to end the match 4-1.
