Emory Tate Chess Lecture

I shot this video of International Master Emory Tate giving a lecture at the L.A. Chess Club in 2006. In the video he goes over his game against Grandmaster Varuzhan Akobian from the US Championship that year. Emory was visiting L.A. and I took a chess lesson from him and hung out with him for most of the day. I also played against him in a simul and managed to get a draw. Very interesting and creative guy. He was somewhat of a legend and I knew that before I met him so I decided to shoot some video footage of his lecture. I had a crappy camera back then and the setting I was using only let you record for a minute at a time, so I combined all the clips into a singe video. Hope you enjoy it! :)
