weird pelican keeps attacking my camera

Was filming these pelicans building a nest when they repeatedly keep trying to bite my camera, they got a couple good licks in but did no damage. Filmed in vr180 so when wearing a headset like the oculus quest it looks like the pelicans are attacking you. My twins really enjoyed watching this
