Russian Su-27 aircraft perform combat missions during a special military operation

Fighter crews practice the tasks of air patrolling in a given area and covering the actions of bomber and attack aircraft, as well as army aviation helicopters during air strikes on military facilities and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Flights of Russian Aerospace Forces fighters are carried out with suspended missiles of various classes. When an air target is detected, the pilots identify it, and if it is an enemy, they destroy it with missile weapons.

“We carry out combat missions. On commands from the command post, we occupy the duty zone in the air. When a target is detected, we launch air-to-air guided missiles. We often hit enemy unmanned aerial vehicles. The duty is carried out on a permanent basis around the clock,” said Alexander, one of the Su-27 fighter pilots.

“The real combat qualities of the pilot are manifested in the zone of the NMD. Now the younger generation of flight personnel is coming to our units, looking at our combat comrades, adopting combat experience from them and striving for the successful completion of combat missions,” he stressed.
