WATCH: Eskom Announced Allert Level 6 as of Noon

Stage 6 loadshedding has been implemented from 12:00 nationally on Wednesday until further notice.

This is due to a high number of breakdowns since midnight, as well as the requirement to strictly preserve the remaining emergency generation reserves.

The City of Cape Town will be on allert level 5 until further updates.

Eskom will publish a full statement in due course.
