After the catastrophic events of The Croods (2013), the overprotective prehistoric father Grug leads his family into the big unknown in quest of a location to make a home. Grug finds themselves in an isolated Eden of plenty that has everything they've been looking for while hoping for the best in a world that is becoming more and more hazardous and attempting to deal with Eep and Guy's developing affection. There is a catch, though. The Betterman family—Phil, Hope, and their daughter, Dawn—who are far more advanced than most people—have already moved into this lush heaven on Earth.
