Southeast Wisconsin weather: Cloudy Wednesday with highs in the 40s

We had some good bursts of heavy snow north of Milwaukee around midday and this afternoon. A few additional scattered rain and snow showers remain this evening. Roads should remain primarily wet. Tonight's forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies and lows ranging from the middle 30s lakeside to the upper 20s inland. We're watching a stronger storm system toward the end of the week. As of right now, it looks like most of SE Wisconsin will see a slushy mix of precipitation, but stay updated with the forecast for specifics. Precipitation arrives Thursday night and continues through at least Friday morning.
