The Nevada Senate race looked far too close to call on Saturday morning, with the state's Democratic and Republican contenders within fewer than 1,000 votes of each other as the gap between the two increasingly narrowed. 
An 8:00 a.m. update of ballot returns showed Republican Senate candidate Adam Laxalt in a razor-thin lead with 468,473 votes, compared to Democratic challenger and incumbent Sen. Catherine Marie Cortez Masto's 467,575, with a difference of less than 0.1%. 
The gap between the two had narrowed significantly from Friday into Saturday; on the afternoon of the former, Laxalt was nearly two percentage points ahead. ...
