Moroccan fans celebrated the national team's historic World Cup win against Spain in Amsterdam on Tuesday. A heavy police presence was deployed to prevent the situation from escalating, as supporters revelled in the streets. Morocco defeated Spain 3-1 on penalties after neither side managed to score in extra time, reaching the quarter-finals for the first time in the country's history.

Um eine Eskalation der Situation zu verhindern, wurde ein großes Polizeiaufgebot eingesetzt, während die Fans auf den Straßen ausgelassen feierten. Marokko besiegte Spanien mit 3:1 im Elfmeterschießen, nachdem es keiner Mannschaft gelungen war, in der Verlängerung ein Tor zu erzielen, und erreichte damit zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte des Landes das Viertelfinale.
