Gladys Sicknick refused to shake hands with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnel or House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy at an awards ceremony for her son on Tuesday.
The ceremony was held for congressional gold medal recipients, officers and agents who protected the Capitol on January 6th, 2020. Sicknick is the mother of Officer Brian Sicknick.
