12/3/22 Jacob - An Example of Lashon Hara? Genesis 28=32

Many see Jacob's time with Laban as the deceiver getting just payback. That Jacob deserves what happens to him because of how he treated his brother and his father.

The traditional interpretation of Jacob lends to that because we have believed the lie about Jacob and his character.

But the text is actually trying to establish Jacob's integrity during his time with Laban. That no matter how Laban treats him, Jacob continues to work and conduct himself as a man who walks in God's ways.
