A short introduction:

The ud (Arabic عود, ['ūd] - wood) is a stringed plucked instrument common in the Near and Middle East, Syria, Egypt, Greece, Armenia, Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan. The predecessor of the European lute (has been brought to Europe in VIII century during the Arab conquest of the Iberian Peninsula).

And now the game itself. Played by one of the best musicians to have mastered the instrument. Originally from Yemen, Ahmed Alshaiba.
Unfortunately, his life was cut short at the end of September, was in a car accident in New York, where he had been living lately.
