The Royal Mail is not needed if we are being honest
The Royal Mail is not needed. Why are we pretending it is? We use email these days and firms are going with private delivery firms for items. Do we even get mail? And when it costs about £1 to post a letter, why would any do so? The truth is business have a certain life span. Blockbusters is not around as people no longer rent DVD’s. When unions or post workers drivel on how Managment are doing this or that or they should be doing this or that, it is (one suspects) hope that a dying business format can be saved. In the same way the high street is also dying as people shop online or buy everything at the local supermarket. Sure this what I say will not be popular. But I suspect it is the truth. And often the truth is hard to take. Better to listen to some fantasy story the unions will give out.
