The Argentina football team trained in Doha on Monday as they continued their build-up to Friday's FIFA World Cup quarter-final against the Netherlands. Lionel Scaloni's team beat a plucky Australia side 2-1 in Saturday's last-16 game but were tested right until the final whistle.

Lionel Messi scored Argentina's opener in his 1000th professional game, his first goal in a World Cup knockout tie.'La Albiceleste' face a Dutch side who outclassed the USA 3-1 in their last-16 clash on Saturday.

The quarter-final will be a repeat of the classic 1998 World Cup encounter which the Dutch won courtesy of memorable Dennis Bergkamp goal in the 90th minute. The two nations also faced off in the 2014 semi-final - a game Argentina won via a penalty shootout.
