Teen shot and killed during high school party in Metro Atlanta, according to police

AUGUSTA, Ga. - When they learned one of the partygoers had been shot and murdered late on Saturday night, the Clayton County police called off a high school party gone wrong.

The party on Citizens Parkway in Morrow, according to the police, was open to kids from all high schools in the metro Atlanta area.

Authorities claim that after being ejected from the party at some point during the evening, one suspect returned with another person and opened fire on the apartment complex.

In the fire, a 15-year-old was shot.

As police arrived at the site, hundreds of teenagers reportedly fled.

The child victim of the shooting passed away there.

The victim won't be named at this time, according to investigators who are still looking into the event.
