In the Berislav sector, early in the morning, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the forces of two battalion-tactical groups of the 60th infantry and armored vehicles of the 17th tank brigades, launched an offensive from Novaya Kamenka to the Dudchany-Mylovoe-Novogrigorovka line with the task of cutting the communication lines and gaining a foothold on the bridgehead.

Fire support for Ukrainian formations is provided by cannon and rocket artillery crews from the position area in Petropavlovka.

At present, fierce fighting continues. Servicemen of the 205th brigade, 140th regiment and 810th infantry regiment of the Russian Armed Forces are holding the line in this area. Subdivisions of the 126th Guards Coastal Defense Brigade, reinforced by special forces from the 10th Brigade, are in reserve.

In the area of ​​​​Davydov Brod, the movement of personnel and equipment was also noticed. With a high degree of probability, the forces of the 46th separate airmobile brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will also attempt to storm the Russian positions at the Sadok-Borozenskoye line.

At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not use all the reserves to break through this section. Two armored personnel carriers are trying to penetrate the defensive lines of the RF Armed Forces before the main forces arrive.

The option of a “false” strike to divert attention from the main direction, which could be the Nikolaevsky sector or Russian positions in the Zaporozhye region, is not ruled out.

How the events are unfolding

Since the evening of October 14, the Ukrainian army has been trying to break through the positions of the Russian Armed Forces from the area of Davydov Brod, Kostromka and Dudchan in the Kherson region. After a nighttime artillery strike, the Armed Forces of Ukraine went on the attack early in the morning on October 15, but were driven back.

The 140th Regiment of Special Operations of Ukraine suffered heavy losses when trying to reconnoiter the positions of the RF Armed Forces. Also, three motorized rifle brigades, reinforced by a tank battalion, were sent to break through by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The infantry and tanks of Ukraine tried to attack under the fire of the Hyacinth-B guns and the Smerch MLRS. At the same time, the air defense positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of ZelenyGay, Novogrednevo and Murakhovka were hit by Geran-2 and Lancet drones in the morning.

The attack cost the Ukrainian army at least 120 people killed. Approximately 15 YPR-765PRI and BMP-2 armored vehicles were destroyed, as well as at least four T-64BV tanks.

By the middle of the day on October 15, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine got bogged down in the attack and are trying to retreat to their original positions, on which the Su-25 and Su-34 attack aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces began to work.

At the end of the day, the enemy did not manage to break through the defenses in the direction of Dudchany - Mylovoe.

The enemy got into a fire bag, approximately two battalions with tank support were dispersed with the active work of artillery and aviation.

About 15 tanks and 20 other AFVs were destroyed, the loss of personnel is not yet specified.
