This week I'm making some prototype wooden sunglasses, something I have always wanted to make. This project reminded me the value of prototype making.

I don't see them very often, but when I do, I always admire real wooden sunglasses. I thought it would be fun to made something like this but have never attempted this kind of a project so why not work on making a prototype to see just how easy (or difficult) it might be. I discovered this was a great learning experience for me in a number of ways. After the first piece of wood didn't work out because the router bit too a little bit more off than I needed, I moved on the second piece of wood which happened to Holly. Now during the making of these, it never dawned on me that I might be making Hollywood Sunglasses from Holly Wood, well, you will have to watch the video to see the trials and tribulations I went through making these wooden sunglasses. Not as easy as I hoped and I might even tackle this again some time now that I have a much better idea what to do.
