I love making things of of wood for the garden. Wood in the garden just seems to go so nicely. The challenge of course is select the woods that will stand the test of weather, hot and cold, sunlight, rain, snow, and still look good after years of battling the elements. For this, my go-to wood for gardening is always Red Cedar. It's a bit expensive but it really lasts, and in a few short years, when left to the elements it creates it's own lovely silvery, weather wood look. I love this look.
