Tape Tear-Out Test: Part 2 / Woodworking Fact or Fiction

Does masking tape on wood give cleaner cuts and fewer tear-outs?
It has long been said that using masking tape when cutting wood will reduce or eliminate tear out. I have tested this on melamine and found that tape makes NO difference to tear out - but what will it actually do on natural wood, check out this video to see then go to woodworkweb to see the detailed pictures.
