Making cutting boards is not only fun, it can be used as a great place to get rid of you scrap wood that we all save up and re-purpose it into something beautiful and functional ... and at the same time, you might even be able to make some money at it too. There are scores or woodworkers who have use the proceeds from their cutting board sales to help offset the cost of buying wood. Then nice thing about cutting boards is they can pretty much any size and shape and as long as they are made from some sort of hardwood there is little else to worry about. Cutting boards can last for years provided they are cleaned properly periodically and never place in dishwasher or soaked in water. Cleaning with soap and water, rinse, had dry and then left to totally air dry and cutting boards should last for year and years.
