Bandsaw Log Cutting Jig - Milling Logs to Lumber

Sawing short logs, or firewood logs on a bandsaw is easy with a shop made bandsaw log cutting jig, and you can get some very good lumber, and often for free or next to free, just by cutting the log yourself into usable lumber for all sorts of woodworking projects like wooden boxes, decorative wooden picture frames and even wood panel doors, because you can often find figured wood or even spalted wood inside once you have cut into the log. It's always a mystery what kind of wood you will uncover.
