In this video, I tell you why electrical appliances and outlets are grounded. It is actually a simple explanation and I go over the main reasons and benefits for grounding electrical stuff. In some older homes, there is not a ground wire that is contained within the electrical wires in the walls, but they realized that this wasn't the best idea, so the majority of modern homes are built with ground wires built into their wiring. It creates a safer overall electrical environment.
