Celebrities are people TOO, so we should stop idolizing them

Do we really care about celebrities or just the entertainment that they provide? At the end of the day, these people are PEOPLE. It’s a shame that all the money & fame in the world can’t even seem to buy someone true freedom—freedom to be who one authentically is.

As a human collective we really have to think about what we value and what we allow ourselves to tolerate—not only in others but ourselves as well. Drinking, smoking, and f*cking the pain away won’t get rid of it, it only distracts us from dealing with it.

And perhaps that’s all of our biggest problems… we’d rather pretend to deal with our issues and save face than face the pain head-on and admit to ourselves that we are not okay. I pray we can move towards a more authentic culture where it’s cool to be yourself instead of trying to be like everyone else.
