We discuss the recent death of a 22-year-old Kurdish woman, Mahsa Amini, the latest in a string of deaths targeting women who do not wish to abide by the governmentally-imposed religious tradition of "hajib," we discuss the history of this situation stemming back to 1979 after the overthrow of the Shaw, and how the current revolution of better-educated women and young adults are fighting back.
