Hey Christian—Jesus is NOT talking to you in the Gospels! Can you you pick up serpents or drink poison? Do you have the power to forgive sins? Do you have to be baptized to be saved? (Mark 16, Matthew 28, Luke 24, John 20) No-Jesus wasn’t talking to you. Jesus was commanding the apostles. Paul preached to the church. Understanding this difference helps one understand the Bible better and allows for a better witness.
