THE JAEGER BRAWL - Gipsy Danger vs The Prototype

I’ve been a Pacific Rim fan since I was young and I’ve had this concept in my mind for quite a while now.
My intent was to showcase Gipsy’s ‘muscular’ structure and movements against a leaner, more modern machine.
What began as a scene that I’d imagined in my head while having my evening coffee turned out to be one of my most challenging Visual effects and CGI projects yet. From the very first stage I faced one technical difficulty after another. Thought I’d never be able to finish it but I’m proud to finally post it today! I know that there are mistakes, but I didn’t want to work on this forever. Despite all that, I had a lot of fun doing the animation and compositing. I hope you guys enjoy watching as well!
