California Now Sharing Vaccine Recipients' Medical Data with Consulting Firm

The Los Angeles Daily News recently reported that the state of California has been sharing the confidential medical information of residents who got vaccinated with at least one private consulting firm.

Needless to say, Californians were not asked to grant permission for this distribution of their personal information, yet somehow it's legal and not a HIPAA violation for the state government to share this way.
