In this video, we show you some great trails at Jenny Lake. After we took the shuttle boat to the western boat dock, we hiked up to Hidden Falls, which was about a ½ mile. The next ½ mile was up to Inspiration Point. There’s about 450 feet gain in elevation from the lake to the end of this trail. You can either keep hiking west through Cascade Canyon, or you can head back to the lake and take a number of different trails.
If you go in the summer, it is best to arrive at the Jenny Lake Visitor Center parking lot by 9 a.m. as it gets pretty crowded after that.
Instead of taking the boat back, we hiked south along the Jenny Lake loop trail, which is an easy hike of about 2 miles. On this hike, we came close to a bear, and we saw a bull moose, too. It was a great morning of hiking.
