The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 occurred on Sunday in Gabon.

According to EMSC, the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles).

At 10:53 on December 4, a magnitude-5.5 earthquake was felt in western Gabon. About 179 kilometres (111 miles) southeast of Libreville, the epicenter was located.
