Attack on Labor

In my “Breaking it down episode # 4” We talked about inflation. How corporations are raising prices because of the false narrative that they need to keep up with a “tight labor market” which is causing wages to rise and therefore corporations need to increase prices to keep up with this “Wage Price Inflation!”

This couldn’t be further from the actual reason for inflation. What we are being told is a lie.

“Wage increases have not even kept up with inflation. Most workers’ paychecks are shrinking in terms of real purchasing power. Rather than causing inflation, wages are actually reducing inflationary pressures.

The underlying economic problem is profit-price inflation. It’s caused by corporations raising their prices above their increasing costs.” (price gouging!)

“Corporations are using those increasing costs – of materials, components and labor – as excuses to increase their prices even higher, resulting in bigger profits. This is why corporate profits are close to levels not seen in over half a century.”

In an Opinion piece in the Guardian by Robert Reich in September, titled:
Corporate greed, not wages, is behind inflation. It’s time for price controls

So, how are corporations, the insanely rich donors of all the capitalist countries governments countering the global unionizing and strikes around the world to prevent the working class from making any progress to overcome the corporate profit price inflation? One way was increasing the interest rate by central banks, a direct attack on the working class. Since that hasn't stopped unionization and cross union solidarity, and strikes…. laws have been created to beat down workers into submission!
