Enjoy the sound of the leaves under my feet as I walk through the fallen autumn leaves (紅葉).

Hamarikyu Park (浜離宮庭園) near Shiodome in Tokyo was originally built as a feudal lord's Tokyo residence and duck hunting grounds during the Edo Period (1603-1867). It served as a strolling garden and as an imperial detached palace before being opened to the public in the modern era.

There are maple, ginkgo and other trees. The best time to visit to see the autumn leaves is November and December.

How to get there:
Shiodome Station (Toei Ōedo Line) - 7 minutes on foot
Shiodome Station (Yurikamome Line) - 7 minutes on foot
Shimbashi Station (Toei Asakusa Line) - 12 minutes on foot
Hamamatsuchō Station (Yamanote Line) - 15 minutes on foot

Visitors can access the garden via the Tokyo Cruise Ship (water bus) ride from Asakusa.
