There's a material within these unusual clots called amyloid that doesn't get broken down easily by the body, explained pathologist Dr. Ryan Cole.
And when morticians put their needles in large vessels, "They started getting back pressure that they hadn't experienced before."
Dr. Cole knows of about 50 morticians who are seeing this phenomenon. Only two have been brave enough to speak out.
