Tawhid is the idea that God is one.
La ilah illa Allah & La ilah illa huwa: There is no god but Allah alone.
Shlomo Pines noted that this was borrowed from a 4th century Romance, a work of fiction, called the Pseudo-Clementine Homilies, book XVI, chapters 7 & 9
"Heis estin ho theos kai plen autou ouk estin." - "God is one, there is no god except him."
Tawhid comes from Ethiopic: Tewahedo
