Prayer is a vast economy. There are so many kinds of prayers, giving of thanks, intercessions, warfare and more. Prayer is boundless and eternal. There are so many who struggle trying to pray. There are others who are natural at it.

There there are others who rely on others only to pray for them feeling they are not qualified. Many feel their prayers sound empty, or feel they go no higher than the ceiling. Many are insecure about themselves in prayer.

There are those who intercede for others. It is different than the prayers we all pray on a a daily basis. Intercession begins with the very heart of God. He then by His Holy Spirit moves deeply within the hearts of those He chooses.

There are many who call themselves intercessors who go about always heavy, with faces downcast. They tell others they are heavily burdened down with interceding for so many people. Those many things were never given to them by God, they took those things upon themselves.

There are some who constantly scream and yell in prayer. Yet I contend that is not the way, or how the Holy Spirit does things with the saints. Though there are times by His command we raise our voices against the enemy when sanctioned.

Bottom line, true intercession by the Holy Spirit has a deep quiet, persistence. He draws the person away into "peaceful and quiet habitations."

There they can hear the deep voice of God moving within them. The power of intercession begins with being quiet and staying quiet, and always private. Do not carry any longer the burdens God never gave to you. They do not belong to you, they belong to Jesus Christ, the Great High Priest.

Shake off the fetters and go to Him, to that shining prayer mountain. Let your face shine and be lifted up. Pray only for what and who He gives you. He never overloads any of His saints.

"Shut the world out, withdraw from all worldly thoughts and occupations, and shut yourself in alone with God, to pray to Him in secret. Let this be your chief object in prayer, to realize the presence of your heavenly Father." ~ Andrew Murray
