Undeclared war of the West against Russia & Belarus, Treaty on Joint Provision of Regional Security

1. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced the West's undeclared war against Russia and Belarus during a meeting with his counterpart Viktor Khrenin in Minsk.

“Allied relations with Belarus have acquired special significance in the face of unprecedented pressure from the West and its undeclared war against the Union State,” Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said during negotiations with his Belarusian counterpart.

At the meeting, the heads of the defense departments of the two countries signed a protocol on amending the interstate agreement on the joint provision of regional security in the military sphere.

Earlier, Shoigu said that the West wants to deprive Russia of the opportunity to conduct an independent foreign policy. As the minister noted, the destruction of the economy and military potential of Russia is the main goal of the collective West. According to the head of the Russian defense department, the United States of America wants to maintain global leadership and weaken other countries, even its own allies.

*Belarus, Russia Sign Protocol To Treaty On Joint Provision Of Regional Security - Official*

Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin and Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on Saturday signed a protocol to a 1997 bilateral agreement on the joint provision of security in the region, the chief for international military cooperation at the Belarusian defense ministry said on Saturday.

Shoigu arrived in Minsk for talks with Khrenin earlier in the day.

"Defense ministers of Belarus and Russia signed a protocol to the agreement between Belarus and Russia on the joint provision of regional security in the military sphere of December 19, 1997," Valery Revenko said on Twitter.

Shoigu and Khrenin also discussed issues pertaining to bilateral military and military-technical cooperation, according to Belarusian state-run news agency Belta.

The 1997 agreement provides for protection of national and common interests of the Union of Belarus and Russia against potential and real military threats.
