Edivaldo Pereira Alves known by his stage name, Edi Rock, is a Brazilian rapper and composer.

He started his career in 1984, when he was doing dances in residences with his partner KL Jay. In 1988, on the outskirts of São Paulo, alongside KL Jay, Mano Brown and Ice Blue, he founded the rap group Racionais MC's, of which he is a member to this day.

The songs "Mágico de Oz", "Tempos Difíceis", "Negro Drama", "A Vida é Desafio" and "Rapaz Comum" are written by Edi Rock, in addition to several others which he wrote in partnership with Mano Brown and Ice Blue.

"Rapaz comum II" was released in 1999.
