Judgmental First Impressions

Can you give some examples of things that maybe aren't really in our control
that might happen?

The thing that I find difficult is being with people who make that judgment in such a way that it is so firm, that it just can't be changed. I feel bad about someone who might be born with a deformity or someone who's got a facial scar or a scar on some other part of their body. They're just things that,
you know, we can't control our height. I mean, I think in the olden days,
there are some people that control their height and control the size of their feet by wrapping them, but that's not generally the thing. We can control our weight. For the most part, my life coach is totally awesome. I've watched her go up and down in weight and I love her no matter what weight she is,
or what size it doesn't make any difference to me when you get to know someone. That's great. But in the beginning, for those people who are really judgmental, my suggestion is to wait and look beyond what you're seeing now because people make different things work for them and we won't know
what they are if we don't give them a chance. So those are things that we may not be able to control, but we can control how we feel about ourselves.
So if we can accept who we are and our uniqueness and our marvelous way of being, then it doesn't matter really what other people think.
