Alabama Deer Hunt in December. Where Are The Bucks?

An Alabama deer hunt in December leaves a lot to be desired. Currently the does are moving but the bucks are still in Bachelor groups. Here in South Alabama the bucks are very nocturnal and rarely move any great distance until the rut. I have backdated fawns to December 2nd breeding date all the way into March. We have not seen any rut activity as far as chasing in years. I am not sure if it is the weather, the moon or I am not holding my tongue right but whatever it is,,,, it is bad news. Hopefully the temps will drop and we will have a cold front stay until Feb 11th.
