Procrastinating On The Fence Was A Bad Idea

Hello and welcome! We are Douglas and Keri and we recently quit our jobs, sold everything, and in September of 2022 we took a leap of faith and moved onto our off grid homestead property in the high desert of Cochise County, Arizona. Follow along with us as we build our off grid homestead property with our two rebels, Willow & Zoey and our 16 y/o kitty, Boo.

It’s been a while since we did a fencing video because, honestly, we were really sick of doing fencing! The whole time we have been procrastinating on fencing though, there was this nagging feeling that we really needed to get it done and today’s video is going to highlight why :)

Cows are known to be curious creatures, especially if there is food involved. We’ve also heard they can be stubborn and that males can sometimes be aggressive. It’s going to be obvious to all of you that we don’t have much experience with cows! Our two main reasons we were wanting to fence cows out was we didn’t want them eating the things we had planted and we didn’t them rubbing up against our trailer and other belongings because they can do some serious damage!

So, now that the fence is done and fixed (hopefully for good or at least a while!), we can now move on to getting the gates done…yay!!
