Angry Mob Calls for Woman to Be Jailed or SACRIFICED After Illegally Climbing Mayan Ruin

An angry crowd met Abigail Villalobos after she decided to illegally climb the ancient Chichen Itza Pyramid in Yucatan, Mexico. The 29-year-old Mexican national was filmed entering the ruin and striking poses before descending back down to an irate mob, some of whom can be heard shouting "sacrificio!" Once back on the ground, the crowd heckles and douses her with water. One elderly woman can be seen pulling her hair as she is escorted away by Mexican authorities. Climbing the Pyramid of Kukulcan has been banned since 2008 due to preservation concerns. Villalobos was arrested, fined the equivalent of $260, and subsequently released.
