At last, my Czech Mate Reno Racing conversion has flown and I absolutely love it! I ultimately flew the airplane 5 times including the maiden and it was a truly unforgettable day. I will say, this is a bit of a bittersweet completion given the circumstances surrounding the full scale aircraft and pilot Sherman Smoot, but I'm so glad to have seen it through to completion. This one is for you Sherm, I hope this honors you and your legacy in some small way. Thank you for exciting and inspiring us all these years! #tribute #scalemodel #airrace
