Camp Lejeune water contamination lawsuits building

Lawsuits are building around one of the biggest ecological disasters in recent memory for the US military, the poisoning of the water at Camp Lejeune that took place over decades. The water at this vast Marine base in North Carolina was contaminated, for over 30-plus years, by off-base dry cleaners, leaky storage tanks, and chemical dumping. Cancer tumors and birth defects have now been linked as potential effects caused by the chemicals used in the water base.
