In Japan, the sun sets after 4 p.m. Even though it is just before 5 p.m., it is pitch black outside. There is a flashing light in the eastern sky. Judging from its course and the sound of the explosion, it was probably a U.S. military helicopter. They have completed their mission and are finally returning to Yokota Air Base (or so we believe).
