UN Expert Ignored, Calling For Syria Sanctions To End

The UN’s special rapporteur on the unilateral coercive measures and human rights, Alena Douhan, has called for unilateral sanctions to be dropped against Syria.

Despite the concerns for human rights, the growing cholera epidemic and the prevention of reconstruction efforts, the US and its allies have refrained from addressing the calls.
