The practice of blowing glass may seem hip and modern but the technique of glassblowing has actually been around since antiquity. Turks picked up the art of glassblowing and used it for centuries to make their traditional handicrafts and even objects that are used in daily life such as teacups for traditional Turkish tea.

This week as Turkey Welcomes You team, we brought to you the ancient art of glassblowing done by Turkish glassblower artists at the 1200 Derece Glass Studio in Istanbul.
