I made this gent from 200 miles away (who plays a Victorian civilian in Civil War reenactments) a pair of spectacles using a genuine mid-19th century frame, with his prescription. By using the tiny frame, I was able to cut the thickness of his strong prescription by 80 to 90 percent, and he says his vision is much sharper through these than his modern ones.
